Bruce M. Holt, DDS
Dr. Holt was born and raised in the Bay Area. Growing up he participated in sports and outdoor activities and he became an Eagle Scout. He attended Ricks Junior College on a wrestling scholarship. While there he placed 2nd and 6th in the nation, becoming a two-time All-American, and achieving a two-time Academic All-American status. He finished up his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University.
He obtained his Dental Doctorate training at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry. Here he received the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement and Excellence in Research, the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics, and was awarded membership in the honorary dental society O.K.U., in addition to being involved in many extracurricular activities.
Following dental school, Dr. Holt completed a 2 year residency program in the specialty of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to his clinical training as a resident, he was involved as faculty teaching, conducting research, and giving presentations at dental conventions (including at one of the largest dental meetings in the country).
Dr. Holt is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Northern California Academy of Endodontics, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, International Association of Dental Traumatology, Academy of Osseointegration (premier association for implant dentistry), and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Holt is committed to excellence in his profession and in community involvement. Dr. Holt is consistently voted as one of the top endodontists in the Sacramento area. Recently he has been the head wrestling coach at the local junior high, an executive board member of the high school boy’s basketball boosters, a Scoutmaster, a Unit Commissioner in Boy Scouts of America, and a little league coach. He and his wife, Natalie, have three children. They enjoy boating, snow skiing, softball, golf, the outdoors, and other recreational activities. He is dedicated to the comfort and quality care of his patients. Communication and a compassionate approach are frequent comments made by his patients.
Ramesh Thondapu, DMD
Dr. Ramesh Thondapu was born in the Midwest and grew up in Merced, California. He spent one year at Duke University prior to transferring to the University of California, San Diego. At UCSD he played on the Men’s Tennis Team and was a member of the NCAA Division II Final Four team in 2007. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2009.
He went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, Dr. Thondapu participated in microbiology research, earning first prize as a pre-doctoral student in Tufts’ annual Bates Day. He additionally presented his research at the ADA and AADR conferences. On graduating Cum Laude from Tufts in 2014, he was inducted into the O.K.U. honor society and received special recognition for Clinical Excellence in Endodontics. He went on to obtain his specialty certificate in endodontics from Tufts in 2016. During his residency, in addition to time spent in clinical training, Dr. Thondapu also taught students and gave several lectures, including a lecture on tooth resorption at the Yankee Dental Congress.
After finishing his specialty training, he spent a year in private practice in Vermont. He is a Board Eligible endodontist, having passed both written and oral examinations, and is currently working towards Board Certification. Dr. Thondapu is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Sacramento District Dental Society.
His interests outside of endodontics include tennis, hiking, biking, guitar, golf, cross-country skiing and cooking. He and his wife Elizabeth, and their pet bird Toblerone, are excited to be in Northern California. Dr. Thondapu expresses genuine care and open communication with his patients and strives to provide the highest quality endodontic treatment.
